Circus

Circus is a form of entertaining art. Its major feature is the demonstration of the unusual to the public. Modern circus includes many various genres like tightrope walking, clownery, horse riding, animal training and many others that are usually performed on a round arena. Circus is not only demonstration of outstanding physical or any other possibilities, neither is it a demonstration of various records, but it is creation of an image of a person solving super problems according to the laws of this genre. For example, a performer may demonstrate his or her capabilities connected with risk for his health or even life (sword or fire swallowing, acrobatics, demonstration of physical health and so on).

One of the peculiarities connected with circuses is that they can be of two types - resident circuses that function permanently in one place, and moving circuses, which can relocate regularly for the purpose of drawing attention of more and more people living in different cities and towns.

In some countries (for example China) it is normal for a performer to spend his or her whole life in circus. There are whole circus families that raise their children in circus and accustom them to the various types of circus performance. One of such genres is clownery, which is considered by many people the most difficult discipline, though it may seem the easiest one. A clown is supposed to know several disciplines, and his participation in numbers of other performers, like trampoline jumpers, is a popular thing in modern circus.
