Photography

The art of photography itself has been a controversial issue for a very long time. Skeptics couldn't believe that such a commonplace as photography that in their opinion merely copied the life in its natural state could be called a real art. And even today this notion is mistakenly taken as something completely incompatible with real art. Nevertheless, the art of photography has become a widely known and respected art form. It is a young tendency in the family of much older pictorial arts like painting or graphics, but it doesn't imitate either of the two, it conveys its own meaning and sense by means of beautiful images that are the language of it.

The major difference of photography in relation other pictorial arts is that it always fixes the images of life in the form in which they exist, without adding or removing anything from it, it always has a documentary meaning. Painting, on the contrary, is a deliberate emphasizing of certain objects on the picture in order to draw the viewer's attention to it and convey a certain idea. The accurate depiction of reality by photographers does not necessarily mean the absence of an artistic touch. Artistic photography is also a result of creative work, selection of the main from the secondary, the essential from unimportant, and by the way the most important and essential elements are always found in the reality and nowhere else. A photograph is only then an artist when he's able to see the artistic beauty in the prose of life, when he can deeply understand and evaluate the phenomena of life.
