Theatre

Theatre is a form of art with broad limits. It is characterized by participation of a group of people (although sometimes only one person can play in a performance). Theatre is a form of public conscience and it cannot be separated from the national history and culture of a nation. As a rule theatre reaches its peak when it is imbued by the progressive ideas in the society and promotes humanistic ideals, truthfully depicts all the diversity of the social and personal life of individuals, his aspirations.

The artistic representation of life, strengthening of certain philosophical position, ideas, world-view, ideology is realized by means of a dramatic action played by actors for the audience. The basis of a performance is usually a struggle of different characters, disclosure of social and psychological conflicts affecting the lives of the characters. One specific feature of theatre as a form of art is the necessity of simultaneous spiritual unity between the acting cast and the audience. Thus, theatre has an important role in moral, aesthetic and political education.

A play is a work of art which is characterized by artistic unity and harmony between all constituent elements. The play is usually produced by a director whose role is to interpret a play and present it in an original way. The action of a play is usually organized both in time (pace, rhythm, growth of emotional tension) and in space (the original design of the stage, principle of its usage, movements, decorations etc).
